Cocktail hour
Poolside is the signature. Guests drift between the water, the lawn edge and the bar while you take photos at golden hour.
Tent reception
A large, flat lawn built for a professional wedding tent: dinner, dancing and a real dance floor for up to 150.
Rehearsal dinner and welcome party
Friday night on the property. Long tables, string lights, the people who matter most.
Getting ready
Wedding-party preparation in the house, with natural light and room to breathe.
Sunday brunch
The morning after, together. Coffee, brunch, pool time, and the debrief every wedding deserves.
What works at each size
The intimate wedding. Ceremony under the trees, dinner at one long table on the lawn, everyone sleeping on the estate.
The micro wedding. Lawn ceremony, poolside cocktails, an open-air or small-tent dinner. Closest family stays on-site.
The sweet spot. Full ceremony seating, a proper cocktail hour, a mid-size tent, a barn after-party.
The estate wedding. Tent reception with dance floor, staffed bar, dedicated ceremony area. Shuttle and restroom trailer recommended.
The full celebration. Large tent, full catering setup, parking management. Still private, because it is all yours.

A renovated French-country stone manor on ten private acres of rolling Kentucky hills, thirty minutes from Louisville and in the heart of the Bourbon Trail. The name means the horse house; the barn and paddock are the anchor.

The barn
A horse barn with paddock that doubles as ceremony space, rain plan and late-night gathering spot.
The pool
Heated pool, hot tub and a pergola with an outdoor TV. Friday afternoon, Saturday cocktail hour, Sunday’s last swim.
The lawns
Large, flat and tent-ready. Ceremony seating, cocktail hour and a full reception tent fit with room to wander.
The house
Six bedrooms for twelve, a two-story great room with stone fireplace, a dining room that seats everyone, and a golf simulator for the in-between hours.

Questions couples ask first
What is the maximum wedding capacity?
150 guests for a tent reception on the lawn. Smaller weddings of 30 to 75 are equally at home here and often use the barn or an open-air dinner instead of a full tent.
How many people can stay overnight?
Twelve guests across six bedrooms in the manor. The rest of your party stays at nearby hotels and inns in Shelbyville, Simpsonville and Louisville.
Do I need a tent?
For receptions above roughly 75 guests, yes. The lawn is graded and sized for a professional wedding tent. Under 75, an open-air dinner with the barn as rain plan often works. Tents are mandatory for 100 or more guests and booked through an approved vendor.
What is the rain plan?
The barn serves as a covered ceremony and gathering space, and a tent with sidewalls covers the reception. We walk through the weather plan with every couple in advance.
Can we serve alcohol?
Yes, served by a licensed, insured bartender or caterer only. No self-serve bars.
Can we bring our own caterer and vendors?
Yes. We keep a preferred list, and every vendor must be insured and approved 30 days out. Catering must be full-service: setup, service and cleanup.
Music, DJs, bands and quiet hours?
DJs and bands are welcome. Amplified music ends at 10:00 pm outdoors, with acoustic or indoor late-night gathering in the barn afterward.
Can guests use the pool?
Overnight guests, yes, throughout the stay. During the wedding the pool is open at cocktail hour with an attendant and closed during the reception; a pool party is available as a Friday or Sunday add-on.
Are children and pets welcome?
Children, absolutely. This is a family estate. The couple’s dog is welcome in the ceremony with advance notice; guest pets are not permitted.
Deposits, payment schedule and cancellation?
A 25% non-refundable deposit holds the date, 50% is due at six months, and the balance 30 days out. If you cancel, the deposit is forfeited and further payments are refundable only if the date is rebooked.
